BUSINESS CLOSING

Last Day: Saturday, June 28th

Dear Friends and Loyal Customers,

This has been the hardest message to write, so with a mix of emotions we write to you today with some big news to share. After much thought and consideration, we’ve made the incredibly difficult decision to close our doughnut bakery at the end of this month. This choice comes from a desire to spend more time with our growing family and to be present for the moments that mean the most. With that in mind, an opportunity appeared and we decided this was the right time to make this decision. As anyone who has run a small business knows, it takes an incredible amount of time, dedication, and sacrifice. We’ve poured our hearts into this journey, but now, we’re ready to shift our focus to a new chapter — one centered on family, connection, and being fully present for those we love most. This journey, which began over 12 years ago in our home kitchen with nothing more than a doughnut obsession has been one of the greatest adventures of our lives.

What started as a fun, little hobby quickly became a passion and that passion turned into Pandamonium Doughnuts. The only reason we started making doughnuts was to feed our own obsession (or more so James’s). There was never any thought or intention to turn this into a business. We just liked making doughnuts and sharing them with our friends and family.  Then one day, after a random suggestion, we decided to sell them at the Farmer’s Market with no expectations other than trying to sell at least one doughnut. We still remember those first doughnuts we sold and trying to peek at the people eating them while they sat on the curb by our booth. We had no idea that day would turn into something so special.  We were then fortunate enough to grow this into pop-up shops, a food truck, and eventually opened our beloved store.  Through it all, it has always been about sharing our love of doughnuts with everyone.

Our success and growth would not have been possible without our incredible team members over the years.  We want to take a moment to say thank you — deeply and sincerely — for all the years of dedication, grit, and heart you've poured into this business.  To showing up before the sun rose, pushing through all those 2am wake-ups or going the extra mile for customers, you showed up — again and again — with strength, care, and commitment. It’s not easy work, and yet you made it feel like something bigger than a job. You helped build something that mattered.

Over the years, we’ve been there for each other through so many of life’s milestones — from weddings and new babies to losses and tough times, including a pandemic! We’ve laughed, cried, and supported one another through it all, and in the process, we built more than a workplace — we built a family. I’m proud of what we accomplished together, and even more proud of the way we did it — with integrity, teamwork, and resilience. Thank you for being part of this journey and helping our dream come to life. I’ll always carry deep gratitude for each of you.

To this community: THANK YOU for embracing us, for cheering us on from day one, and for letting us be a small part of your everyday lives.  Your continuous support, kindness, and warm smiles have made this journey more meaningful than we ever could have imagined.  We will forever remember all the conversations we've shared—your stories, laughter, and the deep discussions over coffee and doughnuts. We are endlessly thankful and lucky to have been a part of this community.

It’s been one of our greatest honors to be a part of all the special moments in your lives—celebrating hundreds of weddings and thousands of birthdays to baby showers, graduations, and so many accomplishments and “firsts.” It has been a gift beyond words to serve you and share in these moments, that we are forever grateful for letting us be a part of these memories.

But along the way, life outside of Pandamonium has continued on and we have welcomed two beautiful children into our family—both of whom have grown up among the early mornings, sweet smells, and smiling faces of our shop.  Some of you have even been lucky enough to have fun conversations with Owen. But as life changes, so do our priorities and with that in mind we are excited to turn the page as we focus on our growing family and spending more time at home.

Closing this chapter is incredibly sad and difficult for us. We will miss seeing your faces, hearing your updates, and sharing sweet moments with you.  You have no idea the impact you have had on our lives and we will forever carry your kindness with us into our next phase of our lives.

Thank you for believing in us, growing with us, and being a part of this once in a lifetime journey.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for a

dozen unforgettable, amazing years.

With so much love and gratitude,

-James, Marci and the Panda family
